While I was waiting I saw people getting rejected left and right and got increasingly nervous. There was an African-American lady at counter 11 who was rejecting almost everyone even a girl who I thought did a decent job. I was talking to someone I instantly got along with which put me at ease to some extent. I got called to counter 12 with 3 people in front of me and one by one all of them got rejected. My heart was pounding as I walked up to the VO but didn't let any trace of it show up on my face.

Conversation with VO:

Me: Hi (with a big smile)

VO: I'll be taking that

Me: *passes I-20 and passport*

*VO 𝘓𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘺 I-20* So, why UTA?

Me: UTA is known for its good engineering programs. Their emphasis on hands on learning aligns with my preferred style of learning where I excel at the most. They also offered me their Presidential Scholarship which waives over 90% of my tuition fee. On a personal note-

VO: *was smiling as I was answering*

VO: *interrupts* So who is going to be your sponsor?

Me: My father will be sponsoring everything.

VO: and what does he do?

Me: He has been the Vice Chairman of X for X+ years. He own X assets worth X and makes X amount per year.

(stuttered a little explaining assets)

VO: What did you say he is the Vice chairman of?

Me: *says it again slower and more clearly*

VO: *Intense typing for 5-10s*

VO: *Reaches for the blue leaflet* Congratulations! I am approving your VISA!

Me: *Smiles and looks at him* Thank you

VO: *Smiles and nods*
