 ‼️

✅ Here is a draft for an email detailing the recent conflict:

Subject: Urgent: Violent Attack on Bangladeshi Students by Awami League's Student Wing

Recipient Address: [email address from the list]

Dear [Recipient Name],

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to urgently inform you about the severe human rights abuses and violent attacks that took place on July 15, 2024, in Bangladesh. The student wing of the ruling party, Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), in collaboration with police forces, brutally assaulted innocent students, resulting in tragic and alarming outcomes.

Members of the BCL and the police forcefully attacked students who were peacefully protesting against corruption and violence by BCL members. The attacks were indiscriminate and brutal, affecting both male and female students. Many female students were severely injured.

Reports indicate that BCL members have even entered girls' hostels at institutions like BUET with acids, posing a severe threat to female students' safety.there are reports that BCL members harassed female students in their hostels, creating an atmosphere of extreme fear and insecurity.Reports also indicate that some female students may have been subjected to further violence, including harassment and assault. This situation is deeply troubling and reminiscent of historical atrocities. The situation has escalated to the extent that some are comparing it to the tragic events of March 25, 1971.

This violent crackdown has resulted in multiple student deaths and hundreds of injuries. The exact number of casualties is still being confirmed, but the impact is devastating.

In an attempt to suppress information and prevent news of the violence from spreading, authorities have cut off internet and electricity in the affected areas. This has left students and the general populace in darkness, unable to communicate with the outside world or seek immediate help.

The police and BCL members did not hesitate to open fire on unarmed students, using live ammunition that led to critical injuries and fatalities.

This attack is part of a broader pattern of violence and impunity associated with the BCL. Despite repeated instances of violence, the ruling party has failed to take appropriate disciplinary actions against the perpetrators. Instead, such actions are often overlooked, creating an environment of constant fear for students.

As a member of the global community and an advocate for human rights, I urge you to use your platform to highlight these atrocities. International attention and pressure are crucial to ensuring justice is served and preventing such incidents in the future.

Attached to this email, you will find photos and videos documenting the violence. I implore you to cover this story and bring it to the attention of your audience. The students of Bangladesh need your support now more than ever.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.

Sincerely,
