Alhamdulillahh, I've finally received offer letters from all 4 Russell Group universities in the UK- ranked in the top 100 in the world! Along with scholarships from KCL and Sheffield. Thanks to BBB for having so many talented people here who inspire me 24/7! ❤️
I applied to King's College London, University of Birmingham, University of Sheffield, University of Southampton and my safe uni was Nottingham Trent University. After undertaking the hefty application procedure for the US universities, applying to the UK had to be left for the last minute. And yet, all the efforts for my writings, ECAs and recommendation letters now feel absolutely worthwhile!
Russell Group is a prestigious group of 24 universities in the UK. It is equivalent to the IVY League in the US. University of Oxford and Cambridge are also Russell members and all 24 universities are equally research intensive. Hence, getting accepted into all 4 is indeed a delight for me no matter whether I attend or not.
And that brings me to some questions-
1. Is there anyone here who studies in any of these 5 universities? Please let me know, I've got so many queries! 😭
2. If anyone is studying Biomedical Sciences in the UK, please let me know how the course is going for you.
And if you are planning to apply to both the US and the UK, note that the Essays for two countries are wayy different. They look for totally different stuff in your writing. Also, you can only apply to 5 universities max. So, choose wisely.
If you have any questions, feel free to inbox me or comment here. 😃
I have 2 options in my hand now
1 ) To study at UK university ( B.sc )
2 ) To study at community college at Canada .
Is it a good idea to pursue my undergraduate degree in Computer Science at a UK university and then move to Canada for my
post-graduation ? There are several advantages for me to study in UK:
1. I will have access to free accommodation facilities in the UK.
2. The tuition fees are more affordable, since it's a 3-year B.Sc. program.
3. I can easily get the necessary support whenever needed during my studies.
4. Completing my undergraduate degree in the UK will grant me a ( 2-year work permit) , allowing me to easily earn enough to cover my tuition fees for my Master's program in Canada during this period.
