Recently,I have seen that many people are interested in applying to UK universities such as Cambridge, UCL, Edinburgh,Trinity College and more from the NCTB curriculum. I was also an aspirant to Cambridge, but for my NCTB curriculum, they won't accept me. I felt heartbroken when I saw their requirements on their website. For now, I'm considering US based universities for applying to Regular Action in 2025. I think I'm not enough prepared for fall 25.
So, I think this post might be helpful for you if you belong to the NCTB curriculum and want to apply to those UK-based universities.
★UK based universities require 13 classes. Because their undergrad program is about 3 years. The NCTB curriculum is made for 12-class schooling, so you have to study for one more year (admitting to a private university and studying there for one more year).
★Aside from that, you can take an ACT or SAT exam along with five or more AP exams with a good score to fulfill the eligibility criteria at Cambridge. (Check out the websites for more updates.).
★A-level, Edexcel, and IB students are always welcome.
What can you do if you're unable to shift A levels from NCTB?
★Give at least five or more AP tests. You can take any of the 38 APs in Bangladesh; contact Mavenwood International School to register. Whoever says "APs aren't available in Bangladesh" is just wrong; you should definitely take APs if you are from NCTB Background. (This information is collected from a post from this group)
★Take the A-level private version; the British Council will provide the exam opportunity. (if possible for you).
N.B., I don't know about the special requirement or opportunity at Oxford University. Sorry for that, if you find any mistakes in this post. Correct this in the comment section.
