Vo: looked at the i20 for a little bit then asked “ how did you manage this scholarship?

Me: ma’am this is the 2nd highest scholarship which is known as texas state distinguished scholarship. This was given to me because of my academic excellence in my highschool , because of my extracurricular activities and because of my SAt score .

Vo: why did you choose this university?

Me: my major requires some advanced courses like parallel programming , compiler construction , cybersecurity and also i need to work in a diverse student body . so the ingram school of engineering offered me all of this ……

Vo; ( interrupted me and asked ) who is gonna pay the rest of the amount ?

Vo: Do you have travel history ?

me : no , ma’am . i never travel outside of bangladesh

Vo: Give me 214b paper and say sorry I can't approve your visa today.

In Between the last 4 questions and answers she typed a lot . My elder brother is studying in the same university . but i didn't get the chance to say that to the officer.

So can anybody tell me what is wrong in this interview?

What was my mistake ?

Should I apply immediately with this same profile for the spring semester ? because my class is on the 16th of January and I have 1 month left . Should I try again  If i get a date in January ?

cause i didn't find any mistakes . and this lady rejected almost 9 candidates in front of me.

Or do I have to change this university and scholarship and try again in the fall 2024?

Reed-iculous News Alert: Your Bangladeshi Buddy's Going Nuclear (but in a good way)!

Hold onto your lab coats, friends, because this isn't your average college acceptance story. Buckle up, because I'm rocketing straight from the bustling streets of Dhaka to the intellectually charged reactor that is Reed College!

Not only did I snag a spot at this Steve Jobs-approved wonderland, but they practically threw in a full-tuition scholarship like a radioactive isotope (safe one, I promise!). Biryani night and a spontaneous trip are definitely in order!

Picture this: a Tudor-Gothic Hogwarts for the mind, where squirrels and geniuses roam in equal measure, and the air crackles with the electricity of critical thinking and late-night coffee-fueled debates. Forget boring lectures, here professors are your partners in dissecting proofs like peeling an onion, only way cooler because they know how to integrate and differentiate in their sleep.

We'll be talking deep dives into everything from Dostoevsky's existential angst to the mind-bending mysteries of quantum physics, all within spitting distance of a real, live NUCLEAR REACTOR! (Don't worry, Mom, it's for science... and maybe a future Nobel Prize, who knows?)

I'm ready to trade rickshaws for bicycles, curry for kale chips (maybe not entirely!), and sleepless nights spent debating philosophy for sleepless nights spent unraveling the universe's secrets.

This is just the beginning, folks. I'm ready for a Reed-iculous ride!
